Privacy, in plain English.
11 Plus Trail is an independent, parent-managed learning service operated by the 11 Plus Trail project owner, hasssarw. The current release does not collect payments.
What we save
When a parent signs in with Google, Supabase Auth stores an account identifier, email address and basic profile details provided by Google. 11 Plus Trail uses your account ID to connect learner profiles and access permissions. We do not request Gmail, Drive or contact access.
For learners we store a nickname, question answers and correctness, practice timestamps, XP, streaks, completed lessons and vocabulary words marked familiar. A revision plan also saves the current school year, target exam date, selected subjects and weekly routine. We record the adult confirmation when creating a learner and any support request you submit. Use nicknames; we do not need a child’s full name, school, birth date, photograph or contact information.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide your requested service: sign-in, saved progress, separate learner profiles, parent reports and a one-off welcome email for new parent accounts when email delivery is enabled. Technical logs help operate and secure the service. We do not sell personal information, use answers for advertising or publish children’s rankings.
Our service providers
Supabase provides authentication and the database, which is in the London region. Vercel hosts the website and may process technical request logs in other regions. Google provides sign-in. Provider processing may occur outside the UK even though the database is in London. When welcome email delivery is enabled, Resend processes the parent’s email address and the service email. We do not send children’s nicknames, answers or learning records to the email provider. Welcome emails are sent without open or click tracking.
Browser storage and cookies
The public taster does not save answers to an account. Essential browser storage keeps your signed-in Supabase session and selected learner. Google may use cookies on its sign-in pages. 11 Plus Trail does not add advertising or optional analytics cookies in this release.
Control and retention
In Parent → Your data, download your family’s learning data, delete a learner, or delete your account. Learner deletion removes their answers, stats, achievements and lesson progress, revision plan and reward preferences from the active database. Account deletion also removes your 11 Plus Trail authentication record, access entitlement, welcome email queue records and support requests. It does not delete your Google account.
We retain learning and account records until you delete them or request removal. Technical logs and any infrastructure backups follow the providers’ retention schedules and may not disappear immediately when active records are deleted.
Requests and questions
Use Parent → A question, or something to fix? and select “Privacy request” to contact the operator. Requests are saved privately for review; this is not live support. You may request access, correction or deletion. The public operator profile above identifies the project owner if you cannot sign in. Never post children’s information publicly.
For children
Your nickname and practice help us show what you’ve learned. Other families cannot see your progress. Ask your parent before signing in, and ask them if you want your information removed. There are no ads, public chats or leaderboards.
